Traction Power Engineer
Prior to establishment, James started out as a graduate rail electrification engineer working for Network Rail in the UK, working in a variety of roles across a wide range of 25kV a.c. and 750V d.c. projects in the UK. James then went on to work for Halcrow (now known as Jacobs) where he started becoming involved with international rail projects, based initially in their London office and then working closely with the Kuala Lumpur office before eventually moving to their Sydney offices. James then obtained valuable experience working with the equipment manufacturer Siemens playing an integral part in delivering the traction power for the Adelaide Electrification before, establishing Supply Engineering in 2013.
Since then, he has been providing all manner of rail electrification services to tier 1 consultancies, government departments and franchisees in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
James is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with the British Institute of Engineering & Technology with 15 years’ experience in rail electrification. He is a member of the Alternative Technology Association and interested in Sustainability and Energy efficiency.
